Rehearsal for Change: Providing Testimony

The Eliminating Restrictive and Segregated Enclosures (ERASE) Bill was introduced back in 2023, reintroduced in 2025, and backed by several council members.

However, it has never received a hearing.

This silence has left our community without a vital, and long overdue, conversation on the practice of solitary confinement.

We are holding this Rehearsal for Change event to help community members refine their stories and strengthen their testimony through forum theatre.

We will also use games, exercises, and legislative theatre to brainstorm alternatives to solitary confinement for the next iteration of the bill before the end of the council period.

RSVP here to let us know you’ll be coming. Tickets are pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation of $30.

Lunch will be provided!

Doors open at 10:40am, so come and enjoy our interactive exhibits before the main program begins.
