Practical question: How do we move from obligation to relationship with our Asian parents?

May is a month for celebrating diasporic Asian heritage. On the 31st, as the events around visibility wind down, we invite you to reflect on the largely invisible, daily activities of being-in-relationship with our elders.
Research into caregiving shows that diasporic Asian individuals are both more likely to engage in caregiving for parents – and to experience emotional turmoil in the process. Can we agree that it’s important to build the trust needed to thrive through those years, starting now?
🗓️ Join us for a first conversation on May 31st, 11:00am-12:30pm (US Eastern) if you check the following boxes:
💟 You self-identify as diasporic Asian.
💟 You recognize that some form of relationship with your parents will be necessary for the rest of your life.
💟 You’re aware that, oftentimes, interactions with your parents are injurious to both parties or that you avoid interacting altogether.
💟 You are committed to experimenting with different approaches to shift toward a more fulfilling relationship
