Know Your Rights Event – Non-Citizen Voter Education and Registration

Starting this year, eligible non-citizen DC residents may vote in local elections for offices such as Mayor, Members of the DC Council, Attorney General, State Board of Education, Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners, and on initiative, referendum, or charter amendment measures on DC ballots.

At this Know Your Rights event, Legal Aid DC and the DC Board of Elections will share more information about non-citizen voting in DC. Learn about voting eligibility, options for how to vote in person or by mail, and upcoming deadlines. A voting machine will also be on site for practice.
