Building Bridges in the Restaurant Industry
(English Below)

How has division in your workplace between back-of-house and front-of-house impacted morale and culture of your restaurant?
The restaurant industry is structured in a way to divide workers on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender and language. Without camaraderie, connection and communication, we lack the ability to build power with our coworkers and fight back against injustices we all face.
Join ROC-DC at our monthly membership meeting that is dedicated to begin addressing this division more explicitly. In this first session of “building bridges,” we will begin to tackle the issue of division based on language! We will start off the evening with a discussion on division and end with a language exchange activity that we hope can be the start of many language exchange sessions in the future!
All restaurant workers are welcome to participate. Please invite your friends and coworkers!
