Black August Bash

Good Trouble Cooperative will be hosting a Black August Bash on August 31st from 3-8pm at Malcom X Park. We will hold space to honor our political prisoners as well as our lost loved ones, folks held hostage by the state, martyrs and freedom fighters. The event will have live music performances, political education discussions and resources, remembrance and altar space, and of course free food and drink. We will also bring together other DC based black libration and abolitionist organizations to learn more about their work to combat anti-Blackness and carcerality as a way towards liberation.  Join us for this outdoor event focused on political education, revolutionary discipline, and dreaming of a Black liberated world.
