The Diverse City Fund holds two general grant rounds in the spring and fall. Additionally, special grant rounds may be added in response to particular community needs.
General Grant Program
(Spring and Fall Cycles):
Through our spring and fall rounds we award grants of up to $5,000 to individual organizations and up to $15,000 to coalition projects. This opportunity is available to any BIPOC-led community-based organizations or groups, including start-ups, with a 501(c)3 status or secured fiscal agent, located in Washington DC. Nonprofit status is not required but groups will need to secure a fiscal agent before funds can be distributed (we can help with this).We welcome any groups that meet our eligibility requirements to apply (click here to learn more about eligibility).
Grantees will be able to use their funding for general operating purposes including staff salaries, equipment and materials, rent, participant stipends, transportation, food, etc.
In addition to funding, the DC Fund offers capacity building and networking opportunities to grantees and their leadership.
